Clay had one sack in a Wild Card victory at The Linc. Packers won 21-16 thanks to a game-sealing  INT  from Tramon Williams in the endzone. Rookie RB James Starks surprisingly ran for 123 yards, and helped spark the Packers victory.

Packers Playoff Analysis

This year, the Packers went 3-3 against playoff teams. First we beat Philly, in Philly, but both teams now have completely different identities and the key to the playoff game is to contain Vick. In week three we lost 20-17 on a late game field goal, in a game where the Packers piled up 18 penalties. It's safe to say we beat ourselves in that one. In week 8, we went into the Meadowlands and pitched a shutout in the most impressive defensive effort of the year. Then in week 12, the Packers lost another close one in Atlanta on a last minute field goal. In week 15, the Rodgers-less Packers went into New England and almost pulled out the W, had it not been for special teams and the late 2-minute drill. Flynn Played lights out in a 31-27 loss. Lastly, we beat a Bears team yesterday that was obviously trying to beat us back.

The Fact here is that it doesnt matter whether we're on the road or at home, we play well against the good teams. We have our identity now and should know how to make those extra plays and catch those wide open passes to close out a big game.

Here's a few keys to beating Philly: having the unknowns step up again. If Erik Walden and James Starks play like they did against the Bears, that will be a huge boost for the team. For the defense it means finally shutting down the right side of the field in the flat and taking some extra coverage off of Clay Matthews. For the offense it means play action and, obviously, a run game.
Contain Vick. Walden will help with that, assuming he gets time over Zombo and has another game like he just did. I fully trust that Capers will have something up his sleeve for Vick.
Win special teams. Masthay looks better every week, and he needs another solid playoff week. We also need Lee/Sheilds/Williams to finally break one.
And please, for the love of God, McCatrthy, lets call some plays that make sense, eh?
